This 1973 Beetle was shipped from Macau to Hong Kong for a full refurbishment, which was carried out thoroughly from a nail. The following pictures show you the way of refurbishment by an owner who really love treasure cars. Just by doing this, the owner enjoys the real fun of driving a treasure car. Most car owners now hold an idea that, a car of nearly 50 years old can be put into use as soon as it was bought. But they will only find a lot of minor problems, which need repairs constantly. Instead of being enjoyable, such driving is rather dangerous. Accident caused by engine, gearbox, brake or fuel tank is no joke. This Beetle belongs to its first owner, and looks good apparently. However, with the shell removed, some shadows were revealed. In the end, we decided to make a full refurbishment, starting from the frame, floor, engine, gearbox, and axles to the brake system, including car body and interior. The work took nearly a year. Now it is shared with you, and hoped to improve the level of local treasure cars.
