1960 Mercedes - Benz 190SL
二次世界大戰後奔馳憑?W194 鷗翼門賽車重回賽車壇並在1952 年取得佳績,之後車廠決定製造公路用300SL 廠方編號W198 及較小的190 SL ,300 可選配鷗翼門又或開蓬車身,開蓬Roadster 車內比較寛鬆,所以較小的190SL 只有開篷車身。
1954年較小的190SL 首次在紐約車展亮相,由於外型和300SL 十分相似加車車價只有300SL的百分之四十所以十分受歡迎,但其實她並不是用管狀車架而是用W121 房車底盆改良而來,四輪獨立縣掛,引擎加大至1900CC 配上雙化油器馬力增至105 匹,配上四前速手排波箱極速超過170公里每小時,售出的25881 輛小跑車接近百分之四十在美國,今天她巳成為最美麗的奔馳SL,1963年第二代SL(Pogode 230,250 及280SL)取代了190SL 及300SL.
The Mercedes-Benz W194 was the first MB entry sport car racing after Second World War in 1952. W198 was the production 300SL, got 2 body, one like W194 hard top with a pair of Gullwing door, one soft top Roadster, in the same time MB built a small 190SL price just 40% of the 300 Roadster.
The 190SL was first introduced at 1954 New York Auto show.It was very similar to 300 Roadster in the terms of shap.However it was not use expensive tube chassis, the chassis from W121 4 door sedan with 4 wheel indenpendent suspension, in-line 4 cylinder engine bore up to 1900cc with twin carburettors house power increase to 105 HP,with a 4 speed manual gear box , Max speed more than 170 km/h..190SL was very popular in the United States ,near 40% of the total 25881 unit sold to US.Today every one believe 190 SL has been the most beautiful Mercedes-Benz SL model.The new 230/250/280SL Pogode replaced 190 SL and 300SL in 1963.
