History:
Toyota began in 1951 with the jeep look alike model BJ model with a lot of improved, and with a powerful in line 6 cylinder gas engine. as the chassis and engine were very reliable, so the new series BJ will be very popular in many armed forces round the world at 60s.
1980 Toyota building a new station wagon L.C.60, it got more big room more luxury and modern design than the 14 years old L.C.55, with a choice of 3 engines, FJ, BJ and HJ model. A 2F 4.2 Gas motor 135hp ( FJ60 )or a 3B 3.4 4 cylinder light truck Diesel motor 90hp ( BJ60 ),2H 6 cylinder 4.0 Mid bus Diesel motor 103hp ( HJ60 ) & 4/5 speed manual Gear box. A wide ladder chassis with 4 wheel dependent suspension, leaf spring and shock all around, 4 wheel drum brake,107 1/2 inch wheel base. 4 door wagon steel body, option 5 speed gear box, front disc brake front free wheel hub, Power window, Power steering, PTO winch or Elec winch and high roof for chose.1985 a 4 speed auto Gearbox with a 2H Diesel,12HT 6 cylinder 4.0L Desel Turbo motor 136ph or a 3F 6 cylinder 4.0L pic1/3F EFI 155hp replaced the old 2H 4.0L diesel and 2F 4.2L gas motor.3B still can buy from a HJ/FJ/BJ STD model with a 4 or 5 speed manual gear box. Optional front & Rear cable control diff locks, PTO Winch,12V or 24V Elec. winch, power steering, power window, door lock, Elec. Sun roof, some model even got a ice maker & rear air condition. power window, door lock, 8 seat. also an option. It is a very nice reliable useful every day use 4X4, like today's LC200 at that time.
